The short version
We collect only what you hand us: a contact form, a service quote request, an email signup, or a member account. We use it to answer you and to send you what you asked for. We don't sell it. You can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
Depending on what you do on this site:
- Contact and service quote forms: your name, phone number, email, and whatever you tell us about your equipment and the problem.
- Email signup: your first name and email address, and a record that you consented.
- Member accounts: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, company name if you're a business account, what kind of customer you are (homeowner, business or farm), how you'd like us to reach you, and, if you tick the box, that you agreed to promotional texts and the date you agreed. If we've assigned you an account number, that's stored too. Accounts and passwords are handled by Wix; we never see or store your password.
- Automatically: standard web server information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, and referring site.
We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Why we use it
- To answer your question, quote your repair, or find the part you need.
- To send you promotions and news only if you asked us to, and only until you tell us to stop.
- To keep records of work we've done for you and equipment we've sold you.
- To keep the website working and secure.
Marketing email and texts
We only send promotional email to people who ticked the box asking for it. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes promptly, within ten business days at the outside, and normally straight away. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't stop us replying about a repair or an order you asked about.
Promotional text messages work the same way and require their own separate tick. Agreeing to one doesn't sign you up for the other. Reply STOP to any promotional text to end them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Texting you about a repair you brought in isn't marketing, and stopping promotional texts won't stop those.
Who else is involved
We don't sell your information. A few services necessarily handle it on our behalf:
- Wix: hosts this website, handles member accounts, and stores what you send through the forms.
- Microsoft: carries form notifications to our own mailboxes through Microsoft 365.
- Google Maps: the maps on this site are embedded from Google, which may set cookies and receive your IP address when a map loads. Google's own privacy policy governs that.
We don't run advertising pixels, marketing trackers or third-party analytics on this site, and we don't share your information with advertisers. Wix, as our host, collects its own operational and aggregate usage data about the site.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies set by Wix, our host, to run the site: keeping you signed in if you have an account, remembering your session as you move between pages, and Wix's own measurement of site usage. We don't add advertising or marketing trackers of our own, which is why you aren't asked to accept anything when you arrive.
The one exception isn't ours: the Google Maps embedded in our footer and on our contact page are served by Google, which may set its own cookies and receive your IP address when a map loads. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and service records are kept as long as we need them for the work and for our business records. Marketing signups are kept until you unsubscribe. Member accounts are kept until you ask us to close them.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing using the link in any email, or by calling us.
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Close your member account at any time.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law. Ask and we'll do our best to help regardless.
Security
Account passwords are managed by Wix and are never visible to us. We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, though no website can promise perfect security.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
